Talk about a party!
At the beginning of the day I asked Danielle and Paddrick if they were planning to dance the night away. They nonchalantly shrugged and said, “probably”, downplaying the energetic party that was about to happen. The entire wedding was full of joyful people. I truly can’t remember a wedding where everyone smiled so big…on and off the dance floor! Even Grandma was dancing through the evening!
Even before the DJ dimmed the lights, there was a buzz of emotion that was tangible through the group. While Danielle was locked in the bridal room with her ladies, all doing last minute primping, Paddrick was gifting his groomsmen with matching flasks. Everyone was over the moon to be together…probably because it had been a long time since the group had traveled so many states to see one another.
Danielle + Paddrick met on Tinder when they were in Lancaster, PA. After two dates Danielle texted her best friend, “I think I’m in love”. A few months later Paddrick’s job moved him to Salt Lake City, Utah and Danielle, and her dog Riley, followed.

Salt Lake City Heritage Park Wedding Photography
One of my favorite moments of the day was right after they walked out of the wedding ceremony. They looked at each other like, “I can’t believe we are married!!” and she threw her arm around Padd’s neck to gave her best friend a big squeeze. It’s easy to see their love and respect for each other. (See if you can spot the photo of this moment!)
They invited their family to travel to their Salt Lake City wedding, held at This Is The Place Heritage Park in The Garden Place. The sun and clouds were on our side with perfectly glowy lighting for our outdoor photos.
Although I travel for destination weddings frequently, photographing Utah weddings in my home valley is always special. This wedding was extra special for me because I worked at This Is The Place for over three years! The groups are familiar to me, and I don’t think Danielle and Paddrick could have planned it better….a Utah spring wedding was perfect for them!
